Production Steps

The first step in producing large format digital graphics is to establish the design layout. It is important to meet the customer's expectation by identifying what the final look will be up front. The use of enhanced digital photos, scaled computerized illustrations and vehicle templates allow for detailed design layouts to be produced and approved by the customer before any production is started.

Once a design layout has been finalized, Big Graphic Impressions builds the print files that will allow for large format printing. We use a number of digital art formats (see Disk Art Specifications) to achieve this task. Once the print files are built, they are saved on a CD that is relayed to the customer who can use them to produce posters, wall murals, floor graphics, ect.

The next step once the print files have been built, is to produce a full size cross sectional color proof. The customer can see the exact resolution and colors of the final product before production. These color proofs eliminate the possibility of potential errors and refine the quality of the finished product. All proofs are sent by Fed Ex or hand delivered directly to the customer approval authority.

Once the final color proof has been approved, production of the graphics takes place on one of the following in-house digital printers.

6 Color Solvent Ink Jet 300 DPI (Dot Per Inch) Resolution
4 Color U.V. Ink Jet 600 DPI (Dot Per Inch) Resolution

The graphics are laminated with a clear U.V. film to prevent color fading and allows for a 3M and Avery warranty of up to five (5) years. Once laminated, the graphics have application tape (pre-mask) applied to them to allow for easy installation. (Visit our Applicators Page to find a location near you)
